Dynamic Modeling of Process Technologies for Closed-Loop Water Recovery Systems

چکیده
Detailed chemical process simulations are a useful tool in designing and optimizing complex systems and architectures for human life support. Dynamic and steady-state models of these systems help contrast the interactions of various operating parameters and hardware designs, which become extremely useful in trade-study analyses. NASA’s Exploration Life Support technology development project recently made use of such models to compliment a series of tests on different waste water distillation systems. This paper presents dynamic simulations of chemical process for primary processor technologies including: the Cascade Distillation System (CDS), the Vapor Compression Distillation (VCD) system, the Wiped-Film Rotating Disk (WFRD), and post-distillation water polishing processes such as the Volatiles Removal Assembly (VRA). These dynamic models were developed using the Aspen Custom Modeler , Houston, TX 77058

Impact of government’s policies on competition of two closed-loop and regular supply chains
With progressing technologies and new features of production, new products compete with older ones in markets. Indeed, new products initiate contest with olden ones and this process repeats in different productions lifetime several times. In this situation recycling the olden products seems to be significant for supply chains. Governments often levy special tariffs for these products as a contr...

This paper focuses on the effects of closed- control on the calculation of the dynamic load carrying capacity (DLCC) for mobile-base flexible-link manipulators. In previously proposed methods in the literature of DLCC calculation in flexible robots, an open-loop control scheme is assumed, whereas in reality, robot control is achieved via closed loop approaches which could render the calculated ...
متن کاملSustainability in paper industry closed-loop supply chain (case study: East Azerbaijan province, Iran)
Governments and customers are forcing the paper manufacturers to become more sustainable. Accordingly, there still exists a gap in the quantitative modeling of these issues. In this paper, this gap is covered through simultaneously considering economical, environmental and social impacts in the paper closed-loop supply chain network design. The proposed multi-objective, multi-echelon, multi-pro...
متن کاملModeling of Jitter Characteristics for the Second Order Bang-Bang CDR
Bang-Bang clock and data recovery (BBCDR) circuits are hard nonlinear systems due to the nonlinearity introduced by the binary phase detector (BPD). The specification of the CDR frequency response is determined by jitter tolerance and jitter transfer. In this paper, jitter transfer and jitter tolerance of the second-order BBCDR are characterized by formulating the time domain waveforms. As a re...
